Infant & Children
Mosquito bites are common during the summer months, especially in areas where there are swamps or many trees. However, they cause local irritation, pain and sometimes infection. Most of the time the symptoms are mild and no treatment is needed. But if the itching (itching) is intense then you need to help the child with medication. Topically you can put a cortisone cream. However, if the itching is generalized, you should contact your pediatrician.
Insect repellents can be used with the following in mind:
• Use special insect repellents for children.
• Place the insect repellents on the clothes and not on the body.
• Do not put insect repellents in areas with sunburn.
• If you place the insect repellent on the skin, when the child enters the house, wash the skin area thoroughly.
