Male gender beauty!

For some years now, men have been discovering how enjoyable it is to take care of themselves.

What men want
Most men love to take care of themselves, but they do not know much about the different uses of cosmetics, for example they do not know what a serum is or what to look out for in the composition of anti-wrinkle products.
But they have clearer and clearer views of what they want!

  • They prefer creams and masks that do not have a strong aroma. They are interested in cosmetics that do not have a greasy composition, so as not to leave traces on the collar of their shirt.
  • They usually prefer products with immediate effect, as they want to see the results of a treatment on the spot.
  • They love that it beautifies and relaxes them.

There are two major types of stress for men, their hair & their body.

Hair: Dandruff and Hair Loss
Predisposition, stress, frequent and aggressive baths: these are the main reasons for the appearance of dandruff, which in combination with hair loss, is one of the worst enemies of men’s hair.

Prevention:
A good habit of prevention and treatment is, especially in the case of daily bathing, to alternate an anti-dandruff shampoo with a very gentle cleanser – preferably in the form of an oil – which should be applied with gentle massage movements.

The goal is to keep the natural hydrolipid membrane that protects the scalp unchanged. At the same time, a diet that is low in animal fats, alcohol, and highly processed spices can play a very important role.

Seborrheic dermatitis
A very common phenomenon in men is seborrheic dermatitis, which is favored by excessive sebum production. In order not to confuse it with dandruff, you should know that seborrheic dermatitis appears with reddish scales on the scalp, but also on the hair roots. It can be caused by several factors: stress, smoking, humid climate, stomach, liver or intestinal disorders.

Treatment:
For its treatment, shampoos with oils that contain oils and remove the scales, without irritating the skin, are often enough. The most advanced cleaning products are lotions and shampoos based on exfoliating substances, such as salicylic acid and alpha-hydroxy acids. If the problem becomes particularly severe, then a special treatment is required under the guidance of a dermatologist.

Shaving: Male’s Beauty Ritual
Undoubtedly, shaving was, is and will be the pre-eminently male beauty ritual. However, although on the one hand the passage of the blade over the skin has the advantage of removing dead cells, on the other hand it causes the removal of the hydrolipid membrane, affecting the pH index, which should fluctuate steadily between 5-5.5.

Beware of aggressive products:
Many shaving products (foams and after-shave) are particularly aggressive on the skin, disrupting the normal pH index, leaving the skin exposed to external factors, the multiplication of germs and the risk of skin infections. This phenomenon mainly affects younger men, who still suffer from acne problems and resort to products that open a “war” against fat. In this case, it is important to disinfect the skin, before and after shaving, with boric water (ask a pharmacy). As for the ideal after-shave? It should contain soothing substances, while cosmetics containing alpha-hydroxy acids and sunscreens are suitable for anti-aging action.

Yes to facial cleansing!
Men should wash their face twice a day. Although they do not use makeup products, night cleaning plays a very important role, as it removes accumulated sebum and traces of external infection. If a man finds it “complicated” to use lotion and toning lotion on a daily basis, there are many 2 in 1 products on the market (moisturizing cleansing gels) that may be more convenient for him.

And men want their cream!
Men’s skin needs nourishment and hydration. Its advantage is that it ages more slowly, as it is thicker than the female. In addition, the sebaceous glands, thanks to androgens, the male sex hormones, are overactive and make it more oily and resistant. This oiliness, however, results in the skin shining very often, and for this reason it needs a treatment with scrub and cleansing mask, with persistence in the T zone (forehead, nose, chin).

The appearance of wrinkles on men’s skin is also different
The former usually make their appearance on the forehead and the area between the nose and the lips. Then there are the so-called goose feet and the vertical wrinkles around the lips. For this reason, the daily treatment with a moisturizing anti-aging cream is imperative for every man, especially after the first days!

In addition, it is important that the anti-aging product they use contains a sunscreen, as most male wrinkles are mainly due to photoaging.
