Despite its importance, many children forget to drink water throughout the day, or just avoid it because they don’t like the taste of it.

Read below some tips to make your child drink as much water as they need.

Set a good example.

Don’t forget that children imitate the habits and behaviors of adults. Seeing you drink water often during the day is more likely to make them do the same. Therefore, if you see that your child is not drinking enough water, set a good example by drinking a glass or two when they’re watching.

Add fresh fruit in the water.

Water has no taste and this is one of the main reasons why some children refuse to drink it. To make it more interesting you can add 2-3 pieces of your child’s favorite fruit in their water bottle. The fruit will give flavor and color to the water and result in a very tempting drink that most likely they will want to drink with great willingness and desire.

Use colourful, happy glasses, bottles or spouts.

A special spout, glass or water bottle with happy motifs and vibrant colors will catch your child’s attention so he will want to use it more and more. Get one with your child’s favorite character to make sure they always carry it with them.
If you do not want to buy something, alternatively you can stick to the water bottles that you already have some colourful stickers.

Make sure you have water bottles in various parts of the house.

Children often just forget to drink water. The easiest way to remind them at home is to have water bottles or glasses of water in different parts of your home. This way the children will have access to the water as soon as they want it.
