Chamomile’s name comes from the ancient Greek “χαμαίμηλον” which means apple of the earth, due to its scent which resembles the one of apples. Its distinctive perfume comes from the cadmium it contains, very rare for a plant. It also has the ability to strengthen the weak plants around it.
Traditional uses:
• Relaxing against stress
• For baby baths to help the infant relax
• Against stomach and bowel disorders
• Against strong vaginal pains
• Antiseptic for mouth and eyes infections
Its taste is highlighted when served with lemon or honey
