Ginseng includes both American ginseng and Korean, or Asian, ginseng and only these types contain the active ingredient ginsenosides. American ginseng can be found throughout Northern America and is milder than Asian ginseng. Korean ginseng is also known as red or Asian ginseng and is the classic variant which has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine. Ginseng is manly produced in South Korea, China, Canada and the United States. Ginseng is believed to help improve concentration and supports energy and vitality.
