Astaxanthin belongs to the carotenoids and is considered one of the most powerful plant-based antioxidants.

It acts synergistically with other carotenoids, especially zeaxanthin and lutein.

In this specific supplement, the astaxanthin used is 100% natural in origin, derived from a freshwater green microalga called Haematococcus pluvialis.

The algae used in the production of this supplement are cultivated in a climate-controlled environment in the Arava desert.

The 3-month cultivation process mimics the natural accumulation of astaxanthin and results in a highly pure and premium quality algae biomass.

The extraction process of the astaxanthin from the algae uses supercritical CO₂ extraction technology, which is environmentally friendly and ensures no chemical residues in the final product.
