Description
 L-Mesitran Hydro is a sterile hydro-active, low-adherence, honey containing wound dressing. It contains 30% medical grade honey, an acrylic polymer gel and water with a polyurethane film backing, without and with an adhesive border.
L-Mesitran Hydro is easy to apply. The honey-hydrogel pad is able to absorb at least seven times its own weight in wound fluid. Although L-Mesitran Hydro is identical to L-Mesitran Border, it doesn’t contain adhesive border.

• It is recommended to clean the wound with saline before placing the patch.
• The patch adapts to the relief of the wound, while ensuring painless removal as it peels off easily when removed without injuring the tissue.
• The patch can be cut to fit more than one spot or fit the shape (eg elongated) of the wound. It is fixed on the spot with an elastic bandage or waterproof adhesive film.
• The indicated shelf life of the product in the wound is determined in 1-5 days depending on the amount of exudates. The visible swelling of the patch is an indication of the coverage of its absorbent capacity and the need to install a new one.
• The product has no effect on blood glucose levels and does not penetrate the wound. No side effects have been reported to date, however it is not recommended to be used by people who are allergic to its ingredients.

Medical honey (30%): Low osmotic action.
Polyacrylic polymers: They absorb the exudate by trapping it inside the patch, while maintaining a beneficial, moist healing environment.
Polyurethane film coating: Effective waterproofing and ulcer protection.
