L-Mesitran Border is a sterile hydro-active, low-adherence, honey containing wound dressing with an adhesive border. It contains 30% medical grade honey, an acrylic polymer gel and water with a polyurethane film backing, without and with an adhesive border.
It is suitable for the treatment of superficial, chronic and acute wounds like abrasions, cuts, surgical wounds and burns. L-Mesitran Border is easy to apply, especially for difficult locations where regular wound dressings do not adhere. L-Mesitran Hydro is identical, but without an adhesive border.

• It is recommended to clean the wound with normal saline before placing the patch.
• The patch ensures painless removal  as it detaches easily when removed without injuring the tissue.
• To remove the patch, the user must peel off one end slightly and pull it horizontally, not upwards. Continue gradually with the same movement around the perimeter of the patch until it is completely detached.
• The indicated shelf life of the product in the ulcer is determined in 1-5 days depending on the amount of exudates. The visible swelling of the patch is an indication of the coverage of its absorbent capacity and the need to install a new one.
• The product has no effect on blood glucose levels and does not penetrate the wound. No side effects have been reported to date, however it is not recommended to be used by people who are allergic to its ingredients.

Medical honey (30%): Low osmotic action.
Polyacrylic polymers: They absorb the exudate by trapping it inside the patch, while maintaining a beneficial, moist healing environment.
Polyurethane film coating: Effective waterproofing and ulcer protection.
Advanced silicone adhesive: Excellent quality adhesive material, absorbs skin movements without disturbing.
