Description
When the sun is shining, we receive 2 types of UV rays on the surface of our skin:
UVB:
- represent 5% of the UV spectrum
- are responsible for visible effects such as tanning or sunburn.
UVA:
- represent 95% of the UV spectrum
- penetrate deep into the layers of the skin
- are responsible for invisible effects such as oxidative stress and the reduction of the skin’s immune defenses leading to visible effects such as skin aging and skin cancers.
To avoid these effects and instead of overloading the skin with filters, BIODERMA created SUN ACTIVE DEFENSE, the high-tech sun protection, enhanced by UVA rays. Combines UV filters and patented biological protection that improves the skin’s ability to defend itself to help maintain its long-term health care in the sun and allows:
+ 24% Protection of the skin’s immune defense
+ 26% Protection against oxidative stress
Several times a day when exposed to the sun.
- STEP 1: Apply evenly and liberally before exposure (a smaller amount of product reduces the level of photoprotection).
- STEP 2: Re-apply frequently, before and after swimming, rubbing and playing sports.
- STEP 3: Spray on the palm of your hand before applying to the face.
Avoid contact with fabrics. Do not expose babies and young children to the sun. Over exposure to the sun can damage the health.
