Mascara Tips & Tricks

It is not unlikely that mistakes will be made in the use of mascara. It is an otherwise easy to use makeup product compared to others. What is required by the use of any mascara are the long, rich, full curved lashes. But the use of the brush, the movement, the layers, the preparation, and even the quality of the product play a very important role.
Read below the most common mistakes in using a mascara.

Choose a colored mascara for a strong result.

It is well known that if you want the ultimate intensity in the result, you will achieve it only with a black mascara. In any other case, choose a brown, gray, and even a dark plum mascara.

Choose the brush wisely.

Each brush gives a different result. A thick, curved brush makes the lashes more intense, almost looking like fake lashes. In contrast, smooth, thin brushes give a more natural result by simply emphasizing the color of the lashes.

Always look at the expiration date.

Mascaras, like any other makeup product, have an expiration date. It is good to change your mascara every six months. If your mascara seems dry before reaching the limit of six months, add a few drops of saline solution. But be careful with the expiration date. The air that enters the tube can have bacteria that destroys the mascara and can infect your eyes.

Don’t dip the brush into the tube several times.

Doing so allows air to enter the mascara tube. This can result in the product drying out and knots remaining on your lashes when you use the brush.

The correct way to apply mascara.

The mascara should be applied from the roots to the ends of the lashes in a zigzag shape and not straight to separate the lashes. The brush should only be placed at the root and moved from side to side.

Layers!

The ideal is to apply two coats. One layer is not enough, more than two can “clog” the result. If you want, after the mascara dries, you can comb your lashes with a clean brush.
